A practical guide to running paid and free events on tikets4U. This manual explains how the platform works and what you can and cannot sell. It is a companion to — and does not replace — our Terms of Service, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy.
1. What tikets4U is
tikets4U (a DBA of Payzio Inc) is an event ticketing and registration platform. You create events, set prices and capacity, and sell tickets; buyers pay with a card and receive a QR-coded ticket. Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. Money is processed in USD or CAD depending on your billing address.
tikets4U is the platform — you, the Organizer, are responsible for your event: its delivery, content, safety, permits, and honoring tickets.
2. Getting started
- Become an organizer. Start from "Become an organizer" and create your organizer account (separate from any buyer account, even with the same email).
- Choose individual or business. Individuals verify with personal details; businesses verify the registered entity.
- Set your billing country & postal/ZIP code. This sets your payout currency — a Canadian postal code pays out in CAD, a U.S. ZIP in USD.
- Complete payout setup (KYC). You finish a short, Stripe-hosted identity verification. Your events can go on sale once verification is done. In countries we settle manually, you provide payout details instead.
3. Creating an event
From your dashboard, create an event with a title, date/time, venue, category, description, and cover image, then add one or more ticket types (name, price, quantity). A few things to know:
- Capacity. The event has an overall capacity; the sum of ticket-type quantities is sold against it.
- Approval. Paid events are submitted for review and go live once an admin approves them. You'll be notified when your event is approved and on sale. Free events you can manage right away.
- SEO & sharing. Optional meta title/description and tags help your event surface in search and browse.
4. Paid vs. free (RSVP) events
- Paid events sell tickets through checkout. Buyers receive QR tickets by email.
- Free / RSVP events are invite-only and cost attendees nothing. Instead, you pay a flat host fee based on your guest-list size (a "Host Plan"), charged when you send invites. Each guest gets a personalized, single-use QR invite by email and/or SMS.
5. Fees and who pays them
- Platform service fee. tikets4U charges a service fee on each paid ticket, tiered by ticket price (a percentage or a flat amount depending on the price band, with a per-ticket minimum). The exact amount is shown at checkout.
- Who absorbs it. You choose per event: buyer pays the service fee (added on top of the ticket price) or you absorb it (deducted from your proceeds).
- Always paid by the buyer: sales tax and card-processing fees — regardless of your absorption setting.
- Negotiated rates. An admin can set a custom fee (a percentage or flat per-ticket amount) on your event when warranted.
6. Getting paid (payouts)
- Once you're verified, ticket revenue settles to your bank via Stripe automatically — your share, with the platform fee (if you absorb it), processing fees, taxes we must remit, and any refunds/chargebacks deducted.
- Timing. Payouts follow Stripe's rolling schedule; your first payout can take a little longer. Funds for an event may be held until after the event date to cover refunds and disputes.
- Holds & reserves. We may hold or reserve funds if there's elevated risk (high refunds/disputes, suspected fraud, very large or far-future events, incomplete verification).
- Refunds & chargebacks are funded by you, including processing and dispute fees. If they exceed your balance, the negative balance is owed to us.
- Taxes. You handle your own taxes; where required, a Form 1099-K may be issued and your transactions reported. Provide accurate taxpayer info when asked.
See Section 9 (Payout Terms) of the Terms of Service for the full terms.
7. Tickets, check-in, and transfers
- Tickets and RSVP invites are QR codes that may be bound to the buyer/invitee. They are single-use and verified at the door; already-scanned or invalid codes are rejected.
- Use the door scanner to check guests in at your event; you can scope scanner staff to your organization.
- Transfers/resale are OFF by default (anti-scalping). You can enable transfers per event if you want to allow them under your conditions.
8. Promo codes, messaging, and capacity
- Create promo codes (percentage or flat discount, event-specific or org-wide) to run discounts. Discounts are organizer-funded.
- Message your attendees (email, optionally SMS) for updates like venue changes or cancellations. Recipients are de-duplicated across paid orders.
- Adjust ticket pricing/inventory before and during sale; capacity can't drop below tickets already sold.
9. Refunds and cancellations
- You set your refund policy within our Refund & Cancellation Policy framework and are responsible for honoring and funding refunds you authorize.
- If you cancel or materially change an event, you must promptly refund affected buyers as required by that Policy and applicable law. Full event cancellation refunds each paid order on the rail that processed it.
10. What you CAN list
- Lawful events you have the right to host and the ability to deliver: concerts, festivals, conferences, workshops, classes, sports, community and fundraising events, club nights, screenings, tours, and similar — with accurate details, lawful content, and any required licenses, permits, and age restrictions.
11. What you CANNOT list
You may not use tikets4U for, and your events may not involve:
- anything illegal or that promotes illegal activity;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives, or regulated knives;
- illegal drugs or paraphernalia; unlicensed tobacco, vaping, or alcohol sales;
- counterfeit, stolen, or infringing goods, or tickets you're not authorized to sell; scalping/speculative resale;
- adult/sexual services, trafficking, or any child sexual abuse material;
- unlicensed gambling, lotteries, raffles, or games of chance;
- fraud, scams, pyramid/Ponzi schemes, or fake events you don't intend or aren't able to hold;
- hate, harassment, violence, or terrorism, or content targeting protected groups;
- unregistered securities or crypto offerings; unlawful pharma/health claims;
- spam or messaging people you aren't authorized to contact (CAN-SPAM/TCPA);
- forging or tampering with tickets/QR codes, or circumventing validation or fees;
- infringing others' IP, privacy, or publicity rights.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may remove events, withhold payouts, and suspend accounts that violate these rules — see Terms of Service §7.
